How it works

Four stages, one continuous loop

What actually happens between opening the scanner and receiving a routine.

STAGE 01 · CAPTURE

Scan

A guided facial scan captures the visual information needed to build your profile. The interface walks through framing, detection, stillness and capture.

No special hardware: the front camera of a phone or laptop is enough.
Live framing feedback before anything is captured.
Analysis only runs after an explicit consent step.
STAGE 02 · ANALYSIS

Understand

Skintelligent identifies visible characteristics and combines them with your skincare profile: age range, skin type, concerns, sensitivities, climate and preferences.

Landmark detection and region segmentation per zone.
Visible tone, texture, pores, lines and redness are measured.
Stated profile answers are merged with the visual signal.
STAGE 03 · REASONING

Match

The recommendation engine maps your profile to the ingredient groups that matter for your concerns, filtered by your sensitivities and preferences.

Concerns are ranked, not treated as a flat list.
Sensitivity flags remove incompatible ingredient groups.
Every result carries a plain-language reason.
STAGE 04 · FEEDBACK

Improve

Rescan over time to see visible changes and refine the routine. Each scan is compared against the ones before it under normalized conditions.

Scores are normalized so scans stay comparable.
Trends, not single readings, drive changes.
The routine adjusts as your skin changes.
Minute by minute

One minute, end to end

0:00
Consent

Before the camera opens, the interface states what is captured, what it is used for and how long it is kept. Nothing runs until you accept.

0:05
Framing

A live guide checks distance, angle and lighting. You are told what to correct rather than left to guess why a scan failed.

0:20
Capture

Detection, stillness and capture happen in sequence. A single clean frame is worth more than a burst of unusable ones.

0:30
Analysis

Regions are segmented and visible characteristics are measured: tone, texture, pores, lines and redness.

0:45
Profile

Measurements are merged with your stated answers, producing a profile that can be compared against later scans.

0:55
Routine

Concerns are ranked, mapped through the ingredient graph and returned as an ordered routine with a reason attached to each step.

Start with a scan. Everything else follows from it.
